Starship Troopers on C5 tonight!!! I have never seen the americans take the piss out of themselves so much within 90 mins!!!! i'd like to think that the writers etc did it on purpose, i'd have a wee bit of respect, however u know for a fact it was simply done in the usual "typical yankee bullshit" way (as me dad used to say lol) still a mint film like!

I heard that un all, wasn't sure what they meant apart from the bit when doogie howser turned up in full gestapo getup. has anyone seen the genuine army recruitment ad that was in 9/11... it's spookily almost exactly the same as the "sign up now, be a citizen" ad in the film life imitating art
It's not sunliminal, it's intentional - the future it portrays is a fascist society where the only real power comes from violence. (It's not pro-Nazi, it's having a dig at 'democracy' in the US) Clever and fantastic film
