NYE @ Hed Kandi/Colours, Glasgow Unfortunately I was dragged along to this at Archaos instead of Inside Out, and it was a total shambles. The entrance way is just about big enough for 3 people to stand shoulder to shoulder, and they put an arched metal detector in - which I never saw them use. We arrived at 1115 and saw 2 groups of people leave (we should have followed them) which made it impossible for people to get in while they were trying to get out. (Fire Risk ) It was £35 to get in (fair enough it was nye), but cloakroom was £2 and the only bottled beer was Stella, £4/each! We went straight to the Hed Kandi room, to be greeted by a crowd, mostly made up of underage chavs/neds, many without tops on. We tried dancing, beer in hand, only to be told 'No drinks on the dancefloor.' I haven't heard this in a club in years. They had a live pa from Therese at around 1140. She did 2 tunes, finishing at 1153 and then shouted 'Happy New Year everyone!' The whole dancefloor looked round at each other. It was a complete let down. As for midnight itself, it just got forgotton about Shortly after midnight, the music cut out for 2 minutes Then a fight broke out and there was bouncers running all over the place. I think we left around 2 and went to a party. I have never had such a shite nye :fuming: Rant over.
