Global Gathering to go 2 days

    Taken from efestivals

Godskitchen Global Gathering is to expand to two days for 2005.

The annual dance event - which will be in it's fifth year - has been attracting around 50,000 people to dance the night away to the world's best DJ's at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford Upon Avon.

But for 2005, it will be expanded to include a Friday night of live - and predominately dance - acts, indispersed with DJs, running from around 5pm until 2am, whilst the Saturday night will have DJs from 2am until 6am on the Sunday morning.

To help revellers cope with the dance overload, they'll be camping facilities for the first time, with the campsite to open on the Friday morning.

Tickets will be available for either day, or for both days with or without camping. Prices are currently unknown, and tickets are not yet on sale.

No acts have been announced yet - an announcement is expected sometime early next year. The stature of live bands for the Friday is expected to include some huge album-selling dance acts.

Radio 1 is linking up with Global Gathering in 2005, and the event will be broadcast.

Godskitchen Global Gathering 2005 will take place at Long Marston Airfield from Friday 29th July until 6am Sunday 31st July. See you there!

My thoughts exactly! I don't think clubbers will want to ruff it in tents! Leave that for the hippies imo!

Most people will probably just go for the Saturday, but no doubt they'll divide the best djs up between the nights, to make sure everyone doesn't want to miss out, and have to go to both!

after the catastrophe that it showed it could be due to the rain in 03 fuck knows how they even can contemplate a camping experience.

even tho im not goin in 05, the thought of 'roughing it' with some of the scum that was there, particularly in the air tent, in the summer does not appeal in the slightest.

I imagine the camp site will be slightly separate, so you will have to leave the festival site and then go back on the Saturday.

The only way I would do it would be to take a van and sleep in the back - saves you from getting too wet if it rains, and keeps out completely battered strangers trying to get into bed with you in the middle of the night!

aye, heard bout this a few weeks ago off gods board, i think its a mega idea! depending on which djs are on like, but it will be mint.

every1 is whinging bout radio1 covering it but i like that too, it means they will record a propeortion of the djs which means more sets to download, at creamfields ur guranteed to get some shite reocrded but at global i think it'll be wicked, cos ur guranteed to get coxy there and he will probs get broadcast live
