How easy is it to profile racists?

    Harper has got me thinking...

I'm wondering if racist people tend to be from poorer/less educated backgrounds? Of the people I know, most that have educated/home owning parents seem to be quite liberal in their attitudes to asylum etc.

    So I was wondering..

If you consider yourself to be a lefty or righty when it comes to issues such as asylum seekers and immigration?

Your parents/guardians (main bread winner) level of education?

Were/are your parents (main bread winner) in careers that require a degree?

Did you parents/guardians own the house you grew up in?

I would say most of the Tory party & their supporters are educated/home owning parents but not very liberal in their attitudes to asylum

i agree with a lot of the tory policies on taxation, privatisation, the economy, the welfare state. so in that sense i support the conservatives, but i totally reject their policies on civil liberties etc.. and probably side more with the lib dems on this area of politics.

    i am a political mish-mash.

Re: How easy is it to profile racists?

If you consider yourself to be a lefty or righty when it comes to issues such as asylum seekers and immigration? - LEFTY

Your parents/guardians (main bread winner) level of education? - STATE SCHOOL

Were/are your parents (main bread winner) in careers that require a degree?
    NO

Did you parents/guardians own the house you grew up in?
    YES

Im from a working class background although my parents are well educated for their class and my father has gotten a degree in his spare time. Ironically they swing to the right with their opinions and moreso every time i see them - quite the opposite to my views.

I would say the further north you go, the more apparent the right wing attitudes - There just seems to be more of a small town, un-accepting attitude to anything which puts pressure on the all white, frozen time way of life that alot of people think they are entitled to.

If you consider yourself to be a lefty or righty when it comes to issues such as asylum seekers and immigration? the Left on these issues

Your parents/guardians (main bread winner) level of education? GCE/'O'Level or equivelant of their day. No special/higher education.

Were/are your parents (main bread winner) in careers that require a degree? No

Did you parents/guardians own the house you grew up in?Yes

My parents always voted Tory. They were from a northern working background doing semi skilled jobs all their lives. My dad did occasionally mutter 'zulu' if he was involved in some road rage incident - but i'd put that down to it being his generation - he was born in 1921, served in the RAF and bombed the jerrys in WW2 as well as a stint africa. he was 71 when he died in 1992

right, but not stuck there, more of a common sense view on the whole thing, which is distinctly lacking from the socialists at the minute.. theres liberalism with common sense and then theres pure stupidity ie. being liberal so as 'not to offend'.

Your parents/guardians (main bread winner) level of education?

    Msc

Were/are your parents (main bread winner) in careers that require a degree?

    Today - yes.

Did your parents/guardians own the house you grew up in?

    yes

If you find a well-educated intelligent racist I'll be surprised. Harper, for example, is thick as fuck. In a PM today he told me to suck his plumbs, so I pointed out it's spelled "plums" not "plumbs". In response he sent me this link http://www.plumbscovers.co.uk/

    what a tool :dunce:
