    Re: Re: student loans

I think it's only £10k or £12k when you start paying back these days! If you took the loan out before the system changed (whilst they still had grants), the limit is around the £16k mark.

Depressing though, innit! I usually pay £25 a month from my wages but they shaft you if you do overtime or get a bonus! In March, my wages were just over double what they usually are but instead of losing £50 student loan as anticipated, I lost £135!

Entirely dependent upon what you do. Medicine is about double that, Dentistry is even more, and you have business and economics degrees which put you on about £40k as a graduate.

It's just the people that do comedy degrees in mad subjects that don't make anything ;)

like it or not 'mate' you are an adult.

one day your gonna have to realise that.

but dont worry, when you do decide to live like the rest of the world has always had to, without mummy to tuck us in every night, i WONT be there waiting for you, ill be somewhere else and happy.

just grow up and accept the responsibilities the rest of us have been dealing with for years.

life is not a box of chocolates or a bed of roses or whatever perfect life you have had...life is a steaming pile of shit and most of us are thrown in head first and just have to grope for breatheable life.

i want all the best for you cos your worth is, but sometimes im not sure if you deserve it.

Martin's an adult but just doesn't take life as seriously as you (which is a good thing these days) - work hard, play hard and do it for as LONG as you possibly can.

Haha, a loan that gets you through medical school is not something I'd look forward to repaying...

There's people in your year graduating with that as a salary though ;)

Not as if you'll not make the cash to pay it back mind, but a bit of a shitter you have to pay it back straight away...

it was about £1300 a year the loan... but at the time i also got grants... tis about £4500... nowt much... paid off my graduate loan - fees on that were horrendous.

a few rich people i knew just borrowed the cash anyway, invested it, paid it back - free cash. bastards. i wittled mine away. ahh well.
