There is nothing wrong with the MOBO its a celebration of music of black origion thats not racism AT ALL it has been an important part of black culture and why cant they have awards for it ???

I'm not entirely sure what you mean there mate, I have no reasons for not having the awards as I don't have a problem with it.

To be fair though i'm not missing the point really, the BNP are trying to make a pathetic point that there shouldn't be an awards ceremony for music of black origin.

Allie - This is my opinion on this matter, i'm not being "too PC." I have in the past commented on the fact that in this day of Political Correctness, why is it still called "Black Music"? (i seem to remember people misunderstanding that and flaming me ). That wasnt from a "there shouldnt be" point of view though, and this doesn't mean I don't think there should be such an awards.

Black music is responsible for and influential to so many other genres, why should't it be celebrated?

It's no different to having a dance music awards, or a rock music awards IMO, it's a specific type of music.

This is a ceremony for music like Hip-Hop, Reggae, RnB etc. Which is all of black origin....

It does not matter if it was an award for toilet roll. A percentage of the population who back it would have extreme views for and against.

As theses awards were to be about giving credit to all music that originated from black people & not about giving gongs to genres which are predominately dominated by blacks.
