    Baby Charlotte

Why is she being killed? This is shocking.

There will be no surprises if she is killed and in 6 months time some smart arse doc is being investigated and there is evidence to support the fact that she could of survived.

It's basically a form of Euthanasia; they’re refusing to treat here.

Is Euthanasia is illegal so should this. Give the bairn a chance man.

I agree, its terrible, the child is still alive and should be kept alive.
It should never even have been an issue.

I'm very unsure where I stand on this

On the one hand I can't see how a court can rule that the child will not be revived should she stop breathing...

but on the other hand, she will be suffering so much pain that I personally think it would be wrong to put her through it again should she stop breathing. I hate seeing people in pain though, so maybe thats just a personal opinion.

At the end of the day, its a miracle that she survived at all. My nephew was born 9 weeks early weighing in at around 2lb 11oz, and it really did frighten the shite out of me seeing him first time around, so small. I can only imagine what her parents went through when she was born, and are indeed going through now.

Life is precious and we only get one shot at it. If there is any way in which this child can live, and have a decent quality of life, heaven and earth should be moved to make sure that she does.

My thoughts go out to Charlotte and her family in what must be a very traumatic time for them.

    aye.
it really is a unique situation tho, bless her i really dont know where to go with this. i would say that euthanasia is wrong ect, but seeing how much pain ppl go through and her having no way out of it, makes u wonder what the point in life is when young babies are born like that, not fair at all really what chance did she ever have?? :(

the boy whose skin fell off was another one, brave as fuck tbf for the situation he was in, kept smiling til the end, was awful to see some of the pain he went through tho, and how ill he was at the end :(

Awww :cry2: I had no idea :( Bless her. Im pretty much totally for euthenasia tbh. Especially if they person is fully sane (if anyone actually is ;) ) Its a bit difficult obviously cos the poor love cant say whether she wants to live or not. But if she's in pain and they are just dragging her pitiful life out, arent they just being selfish?

it is cruel dragging her along like this... all the reports ive seen / read claim that she is in great pain and were she to survive, would have sustained massive injuries already. it's heartbreaking, but they know what they are saying... they aint saying it to be evil ffs?

    still, such a shame :(

Why are they keeping her alive? for their own selfish feelings? Who should we be thinking about here? whats best for the parents or for charlotte? Obviously whats best for Charlotte. She's in great pain, more 'aggressive' treatment will only cause her more suffering and will only extend her life by a short time and it's no quality of life whatsoever - why put her thru that? just so they can send a bit more time with her so they get more comfort? thats selfish. do the right thing and let her go - it wasn't meant to be. it's a tough decision for anyone to make - but it takes conviction for someone to say "do not resusitate"

Parents can be blinded by grief and their belief that it will be all ok in the end - unfortunately it won't be.
