The current government is full of North East MPs doing nowt, maybe a regional assembly will do a bit more.

National MPs in my eyes serve no purpose to local people now, will a regional assembly make a difference? Not sure but I am willing to give it a try.

The Welsh Assembly was toothless when it started but within the next 2 to 3 years every taff will have free prescriptions.

Vote yes, in the confusion while they do this & re-organise Northumberland county council I can probably get away with at least 2 years council tax :D

Imo thats the only plus point its got. The current system doesnt really work so lets see if something different works. But I dont think this is the right system as it is outlined. Not enough powers and too much "doing it for their own good rather than ours".

24 million it's going to cost per year to run this assembly.... but yet they're losing 100,000 civil servants.

    eh?

The local assembly will run off your council tax. As for them getting rid off 100,000 london based civil servants it aint happened yet, will it ever?

DSS Longbenton & Tyneview park are still hireing staff
