FTAO: Whoever is in charge of Promise text alerts

Thank you for the text message I received at 2.45 am this morning advertising the Promise weekender. Apparently this was sent at 5.39 am by the sender settings...

In fact, the content was so interesting I am still awake now, thank you! :p

How can I unsubscribe from these messages?

your phones wake u up? u have so little life that you're waiting by your mobiles, waiting for the next text to arrive to show that someones thinking of you, that the world does have meaning and that there is a reason for your existence...

    mine's in mi bag.... downstairs...

mine came thru yesterday afternoon... it was probably your network providers.

I use my mobile as an alarm clock so simply set the timer then switch it off , no unwanted txts or calls during the nite that way

I can unsub you if you pm me your mob number. Tbf this happens with normal (handset to handset) text messages aswell. It's the nature of the beast.

    Same here.

I only signed up to the damned things as I was pissed, asked about 5 times in the queue to do so and made to feel guilty with something along the lines of certain people not getting bonuses if people don't sign up.

can't be helped tho what time ur phone recieves it, it's a common occurance that messages get caught up with ur network provider and they send em on when they get the opportunity...

they wouldnt have sent it at a stupid time, but ur network may well have forwarded it on to you at a stupid time.

Jimmy, if you turn your phone off after setting the alarm, it will turn itself on for the alarm to sound. You (usually) then have the choice of turning the phone on or off
