Andy is like a duck so anywhere with lake/pond will do.

Est Est Est generally does very nice food, although I've never been to the one in Newcastle.

I've heard from a few people that Treacle Moon is alright too.

Just don't make the mistake of going to Scalini's

Since you're from Tynemouth and will know the area, Sambuca's on North Shields quay is a really good Italians but also does a wide variety of steaks & fresh seafood. Prices are really good too, think the most expensive thing on the menu at the moment is either the T-Bone steak or Marlin at £9.50. It's always busy so best to book early.

Worth a try and it'll not cost you an a fortune in taxi's!

    :)
