    dunno any of the names of them. only the ones on the 'main street' opposite the chippy. canny lively, not too full of scallies like the oh-so-close whitley bay mob. decent pints and reasonably priced. did i mention the chippy? nice fish butties from marshalls. good for all dayers, sit in the sun, booze, chips then some more booze.

    tynemouth = :up:

    Tynemouths good for a drink but not at the weekend when all the scallies go there.

    You can sit outside the Turks head which is at the end of the high street (probs my favourite) you can also sit outside fitzgeralds but its a bit of a oldies bar imo. I think the furry pear has a beer garden as well but its a bit shit last time i was there.

    Your best bets are the salutation near the supermarket or the turks head also know as the stuffed dog at the bottom of the high street.

    Best pub near the coast is the Rockcliffe Arms... Rovers return style and 2 mins walk for me. ;)

    Are you talking about the Rock in Cullercoats? Don't know any other Rockcliffe in the area, but could be proved wrong! :dunce:

    Tynemouth's ok, used to go religiously on a Sunday a few years ago, but it's full of young 'uns these days. OK on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon, but nowt special!

    Tynemouths far from rough mate in fact its the complete opposite, you cant get a 2 bedroom flat for less than 125k and some of the houses are knocking on for half a million, its only at the weekends when people come from all over that it gets a little rough rest of the time its a proper posh village.
