missed my point.. i was picking on the fact there are factions of the arab race that DO - opress women DO - commit suicide attacks DO - use brutal methods of capital punishment..

i made it clear that this is not the norm..

i also said that this does not happen solely in arab states - and i did not say that suicide attacks originated in islamic states...

First time I ever had the misfortune of watching kilroy was when he was doing a show about parental abuse and its effects on grown adults. It is in my opinion, that by western standards, Arab women are repressed. This is only my humble opinion, however is based on my experieces first hand in Arab countrys such as Kuwait and Iraq.

You should all take a greater intrest in terrorism. It, on many levels, involves people you know and people that live in your street. This does not however mean all Arabs are Terrorist. That is stupid, regardless of how you veiw the Arabic People.

It is assesed that there are now 10 religious and secular terrorist groups that are capable of using suicide terrorism as a tactic against their governments and/or foreign governments. They are: the Islam Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad of the Israeli occupied territories; Hizbullah of Lebanon; the Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ) and Gamaya Islamiya (Islamic Group - IG) of Egypt; the Armed Islamic Group (GIA) of Algeria; Barbar Khalsa International (BKI) of India; the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) of Sri Lanka; the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) of Turkey; and the Osama bin Laden network (Al Quaida) of Afghanistan

Some of suicide groups are motivated by religion, religious/ethnic nationalism, or ethnic nationalism. Al Quaida's religious philosophy transcends territorial borders. Hamas, the PIJ and Hizbullah are primarily religious groups, but they are also driven by ethno-nationalism. BKI is the only non-Islamic religious group. While the LTTE and the PKK are driven by ethno-nationalism, the PKK is also infused with Marxist-Leninist ideology. As such, the motivation of Hamas, the PIJ and Hizbullah suicide bombers is primarily Islam. The motivation of the LTTE and the PKK suicide bombers is mainly Tamil and Kurdish nationalism respectively.

The Arabs do certainly not have a monopoly upon suicide bombing, but within the calling of an Islamic Jihad certainly do lead the way in these terrorist tactics. That is Black Tigers aside, 'cos they've definatly got their shit squared away, although it seems they may soon come to a resolution. Who says terror tactics don't work?

Limb amputation does apply in the Law of many Arab States. As for branding the whole Arabic Culture limb amputators, this to me atleast, seems wrong to tar everone with the same brush.
