Went at the beginning of October this year and seriously enjoyed it. Although the clubs had shut down, with the exception of Es Paradis which we went to the day after we got there, I still found plenty to keep me occupied. The majority of the pubs were open but those that were closed didn't look as though they were worth going to anyway. The fact that the pubs which were open stayed as such till 6am was an added bonus!

I'll definitely be thinking about going back this year but maybe the back end of September for the closing parties.

Im thinkin about goin over for the summer & workin. Im sick of workin my ass off over here year in year out. Im gunna start saving. Is it pretty easy to pick up a bar job & accomodation over there? Do you make enough money to go out plenty? Id hate to be stuck behind a bar wi no money everynite.

You're gonna need to get there in early May if you want to find work, won't be too hard that early. Most places will either provide, or help you find accomodation too.

Try and get one of the better PR jobs (Bar M, Orange Corner, Itaca, Eden), least you're outside all day, better than sittin behind a bar bored for 4 months :p

Some of the people I spoke to who were working on the bars were on really really crap money and working in excess of 12 hours most days. One of the girls we spoke to had just done a 12 hour shift and said she'd have been lucky to have cleared £30 for it. I can imagine the majority of the bars being like this, but I would imagine working for one of the bigger clubs the money would be alright.....but I'd guess that competition for jobs in these places would be quite stiff!
