Yeah, as soon as you hear "cancer" u think the worst, dont u?? Im glad I dont smoke anymore... my breath dont smell like rotten ashtrays....eurgh!!!

was well bad at the time like fella was only a youngun at the time, the only time ive seen all me pals crying at the same time!

Im quitting as soon as i've finished me packet. I've been telling myself that for a couple of weeks but I really have cut down so I am heading in the right direction. I really don't wanna hit 30 (and im only just 21!) and still be smoking

Good luck trying to quit I know it's hard 4 some people. I say people who smoke that they are just burning their money away. Same as me when I gamble

my mate had cancer of the uterus or ovaries not sure which but she told no one she had it for 6 months she didnt even tel her parents... the poor girl can now no longer have children.. i was gutted when i found out.. people with cancer are incredibly brave and the scary thing is itll porbs happen a third of us.. not sure on those stats...

to add to the thing about my mate, she studies law and didnt tell the university the situation and the absoloutle cunts made her resit her year because she didnt hand in her extenuating circumstances form...

Smoking isnt the only cause of cancer like fella me pal died of it and he never smoked, got to agree that its a major factor in alot of cases tho thats why im giving up the tabs at new year cos it scares the shit out of me.

Well my parents quit smoking. And I know my mate said he quit in the new year if he means it

Cancer is a fuckin bastard, i've lost two relatives to it in the last 14 month!! Thats why i cant stand smokers being around me, and smoking altogether! :evil:

when my dad was 14 his dad died of lung cancer & last year my nanna died from cancer of the asophagus (sp) (windpipe)...she hadn't been able to eat solid food for over 3 years. it was awful watching her fade away!

i'm not advocating smoking - but it's not the only cause of cancer you know. Both my mum and dad have died of cancer, both were different types of hereditary cancers. Nowt to do with smoking. Neither of them smoked and my mum was teetotal and hardly ever visited pubs/clubs/ or so called smokey places.

Change the record and find a different bandwagon.

Do not fear young Darude, Tabs will be banned from public places in time, although the GOV will not ban the sale of course.

I remember seein in a Judge Dread comic years ago that all smoking in a public place was a crime, they had these special smokin buildings where you wore a large fish boal on your head and you smoked inside it - thus only you were harmed by your own filth...looks like this will turn true in later years...

Sorry to hear about all that! Cancer is the most distressing illness I can imagine. My gran died of throat cancer in July I was so close to her and I was the last one to see ehr before she died! What made it worse was when I sen her in hospital she was that drugged up she couldnt talk or even reconise who I was. I didnt know what to do with myself! Or what to say. I have no words to explain how I felt..she looked terrible so thin and old!

I had cancer in my breast when I was 15 I had it removed and managed to notice it in time! I go to hospital on the 23rd December cause theyfound something in my smear test which I had on my 2oth Birthday not much of a present. I have to go ot hospital to see what it is and if it can be treated...Im not worrying too much cause It would be silly to cause it might be nothing! Fingers crossed! Lifes too short to worry I just wanna get on and wait till the day the results come.

Lasses really do forget to check themselfs in facts lads too I was lucky I noticed my lump at 15 cause u would never think of having cancer at that age! It was called a mouse and it got took out without any real hassle!
