Old Odean Cinema

    Old Odean Cinema

    I heard about a year ago that when they moved the odean too the gate Ministry of sound were goin to open a club up at the old site ( the one at the bottom of northumberland street). I also heard another rumour that they were moving a Cream bar/club upto the north east.

    Anyone else heard anything to do with this as the site has a lot of potential?

    is that permenant or till som1 buys, cos there is at least 5 massive rooms which could hold at least 400 each.

    Thats just temporary stuff, while they make a decision.

    It wont!! Its one of 2 cinemas left in the country of that style. It will be kept as an AV place.

    What a venue it could be, did it have three or four cinemas?

    Each could offer an alternative music taste to cater for all.

    Would the council be up for it though.

    Seems a shame the place just sitting there waisting away:(

    it was the cinematic orchestra.. culture..

    liam + katie both said they'd heard something about an upcoming 'event' at the old odeon...

    cream blue or baby cream whatever they're called are opening in bham/ manc/ leeds and a few other places, but they where just supposed to be bars...

    SAM JACKS is opening next to tiger tiger... baja number 3... :eek:

    wtf is goin on with MOS they release cheesy as fuck complilations...

    yet their listings are totally different- "credible" :confused:

    The people who buy thier cd's are 16 + the people who go to thier nights are 21+ and the line ups are nowt special! Although they do have Araon Ross as a ressie!!

    its a listed building tho too so it cant be destoryed

    There was that old lazer quest building near global dj which would of been wikid for an illegal rave, was empty for ages. i think they might be doin somthin with it now tho.
