women go nuts for accents and there generally fond of irish , scottish and geordie ! not neutral yorkshire or cockney or brumie or anything so nah nah nah

I guess I must be unfriendly and arrogant then. Not to mention ignorant of anything that goes on north of Watford Gap.

I have been on the receiving end of anti-southerner stick plenty of times up here. What I am saying is that it isn't necessarily as friendly as you might think, not to southerners anyway, though it has improved dramatically over the last ten years.

Your attitude towards southerners only goes to prove my point.

I have a lot of southern friends and like them so im not tarring everyone with the same brush!



Perhaps my attitude on southerners comes from there attitudes towards northeners or amybe its the minority in both areas that give them a bad name ??????????????

basically in general terms northerners dont like southerners and vice versa. but more and more people are opening up to the fact that its not strictly true. i think with the universities up here especially helping the divide and now its just the minority who think this way. people still stuck in the old school etc.
