    School league tables 2002

Hey! Check out where your school finished in last years league tables for GCSE and A levels.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/...gland_secondary/national/gcse/html/gcse_1.stm

For GCSE's, my school ST Mary's, Longbenton finished 2610th in the whole of England. Amazingly, George Stephenson High, Killingworth was next in 2611th. Only 38% of students from both schools left with 5 or more GCSE's.

The worst in the North East was Westgate Community College who finished on page 36/36 in 3511th place with only 14%.
My fuckin clever lasses school finished with 100%.

joint 31st… Yes I went to a "posh" school, unfortunately, it didn’t have the desired effect on me, cos the year I took my alevels, the school dropped over 100 places :king: :dunce: and no, my parents arent loaded, just enough to get by:)

If only we had schools that could finish that high up! I wouldn't call them posh schools. Just good ones. I'll be working my bollocks off to make sure when I have kids they'll have more opportunities than I've had.

that’s exactly what my folks did, they didn’t have a particularly good education, but they scrimped and saved so I could, unfortunately I pretty much backfired when I took my a levels, but since then I ve made the best of a not-so-good situation, no regrets though...:)

I wouldn't call it backfiring. If my kid could stand up on their own 2 feet, capable of making a good life that they wish to live, I wouldn't mind that they left school. (I think!)

Hookergate comprehensive school - 3357 of 3571... the gcse pass rate = 21%... and seeing as there was only NINETEEN students entered for as/a level, they didnt actually GET a percentage for that!

I thought the school was bad when i was there, but seriously, it must have got worse!
