The rivers burst it's banks and the place is flooded! still yet unexplained, has this ever happened before?!
what the fuck? it hasnt rained today. We are on a Flood Warning in the N.E today though, I guess we have had some HEAVY rain further inland. I am not aware of it happening in the last decade but i havent been here that long. Spence??
There have been previous reports of flooding within the district as follows: Brunton Park, Gosforth, South Gosforth, Low Walker, Byker, Kingston Park, Woolsington, Callerton, Pre 1978 - All affected by flooding from main river. Gosforth, 15 January 1978 - Flooding from main river due to over topping of defences. Gosforth, 29 March 1979 - Flooding from main river due to blockage in the channel. Brunton Park, 06 November 2000 - Flooding from main river due to overtopping of defences. Quayside, 12 January 2005 - Quayside flooded as the River Tyne burst its banks. Businesses on Sandhill, near the Swing Bridge, at risk of flooding. [High tidal levels also caused flooding at Warkworth].

some nasty rain up alston last night , all the way home - stanley was like a scence out of blackbeards rum driven boat scences at 4am
along the newcastle quayside, from the riverside (the old sea nightclub) along to the swingbridge and under the tyne bridge apparently!
