Do mainstream bars in the city centre show games that are not SKY/ESPN? Thought that got stopped ages ago.

There are quite a few places that will be showing the game in the East End of Newcastle but these places tend get locals in as they show games everyweek. I would not commit to saying anywhere will have it on 100% as the cops will be clamping down esp in the city centre.

It's also on in the star, Rafferty's and the Marlboro. I'd gan for the Sam Jacks option though, you can't beat the croissant, clout, Ameobi bicycle kick combo on a bright sunday morning.
It'll be on in the Rose & Crown if your wanting to avoid the titties in Sam Jacks. Sure thats the only place had it on last time it was on a dodgy channel. Might be different for the derby mind.
